6th Grade Assignments

Monday 4/13: A SmartMusic and ToneSavvy assignment have been posted today and guidance/ lessons on these will be given throughout the week. ToneSavvy accounts should be your FirstLast name exactly how you typed it into the microsoft form last week. Listed below is one short performance assignment for each instruments (HIGHLY recommended for every student that has an instrument). This is the first 2-octave scale for your instrument, what we would be working on in class right now. Please try and stay on top of playing to keep up your skills. Email with any questions or concerns.

Tuesday 4/14:  Watch and reflect on the this link  from the Atlanta Symphony. You will see some of these musicians when we attend a concert next year! In your reflection, which you will turn in on the Thursday Form, please think about the following:

1. How professional musicians' lives have been impacted by current events

2. From your experience the past few weeks, how does music effect/improve our daily lives and moods?

3. The role of music  plays during challenging times

*Remember, you are NOT turning anything in now. Your observations will be collected in the Thursday Form only

Wednesday 4/15:  Watch and be familiar with time signatures in this video. Tomorrow's form will be based mostly on this.
