6th Grade Assignments

Monday 5/4: Practice the music above for the Dickerson Virtual Orchestra! Try to work your way up to a tempo of 150 BPM. This is the same piece we have been working on in Smart Music, and we will be trying to make video submissions for a virtual orchestra via flipgrid/ email in the final two weeks of our academic year. More instructions will and a video explanation will follow, but get the whole piece under your fingers for now! A backing track with two measures of count-off is also linked above. If you do not have an instrument, the ToneSavvy assignment is 34-40 for this week.

Tuesday 5/5:  Super informative video about rosining your bow. Highly recommend everyone watch!

Wednesday 5/6: Watch the video at the top of this page to get a tutorial on how you will be submitting your virtual orchestra video! You may make a submission beginning next Monday, May 11. Videos must be submitted by Friday, May 15, in order to be made into our collaborative video. Remember to only attempt a recording after you have spent significant time (at least 5 days in this case) of consistent practice.
