*Prescription Form 2: Any other medication the student is prescribed to take on a regular basis (ADHD meds, etc). These meds should be counted out for the duration of the trip, sent in the original prescription bottle with the form in a zip lock bag. This can be turned in at luggage drop. An adult will be a...

We hope everyone had a relaxing break, only 33 days of school until summer! That being said, let's give it our best in this final push to the end of the year (especially 8th graders!).

8th Grade Trip: Only two weeks away! This week we will have our trip presentation during class. Parent chaperones will be sent a link and the presentation will also be posted on this site for parents to view. My apologies for the delay, we are working with a new music festival and it has taken a bit to finalize our itinerary.

Spring Concerts:  Please be sure you have our spring concert performances in your family calendar (see Google calendar on side of site).

Drop Forms: Now available! If your child not longer wishes to participate in orchestra next year (rising 6th and 7th only), they must have a parent signed drop form turned in by  May 4th. This is the ONLY way you can be...

Please note, the trip meeting was cancelled weeks ago. No trip meeting tonight! The original forms that required notarizing are no longer required and the trip presentation will be posted once details are finalized.

We need chaperones!!!  In the past two weeks, four of our chaperones for the Universal trip have backed out. If we do not have the required adult to student ratio for this trip, it will be cancelled. PLEASE consider chaperoning this trip. Past chaperones have said it is one of the most enjoyable trips they have been on. The dates are April 26-29th and the cost is $675. Please email me immediately if you are interested. No chaperones, no trip :(

The March 15th trip Meeting is cancelled.  This conflicts with Walton STEM night. The trip presentation will be shared with your students and posted on the website once all details are finalized and we get enough chaperones.

I hope everyone is enjoying their winter break. If you stayed in town, it very much feels like a spring break with temps in the 70's! Here a are a few updates and reminders:

6th Grade:  Concert March 6th! Please note the following report times based on your class. Standard uniform: concert t-shirt, jeans/pants (no shorts). Also, all 6th graders need to have Essential Elements Book 2 for their instruments by end of the break. Check your local music store or online.

8-1:  Please remember your complete uniform for tomorrow! A handful of you have not turned in the field trip form. I must have this in order for you to attend LGPE, as I've reminded you the last few weeks. You will report as usual at 12:30pm to change and load instruments. Remember, you MUST  be picked up by 5pm if you are not riding the bus back. We cannot leave you unsupervised at Lassiter if your parent is not there and the bus back to Dickerson arrives.

Chamber:  You may bring in your uniform tomorrow, be sure it's labeled. There are almost 100 uniforms for 8-1, so if you can wait until Tuesday, it would be best.

Parent Help:  Thank you so much for all parents offering to drive instruments, supervise, ride buses. If you are assisting over the next three days, we would like parents to be at school between 12-12:15pm. Students will be down at 12:30pm to load instruments. Each day will be completed before 5pm. If you are riding the bus back on Monday or Wednesday, we are hopi...
