Thank you for visiting the website of Dickerson Middle School Orchestra. If you would like to keep up to date on orchestra activities, please subscribe to our site for email updates. This site is updated frequently and should be the primary resource for receiving accurate information from the directors.

It was awesome seeing our families at Instrument Tuning/Pickup yesterday! Special thanks to the Almond and Jasrotia families for providing the fan and tent-it was a hot one!! We greatly appreciate the relief!

Last Call: All students will need a functioning instrument and book (see previous post) based on level. We only have 16 class meetings this quarter and need to play as much as possible. All orchestra students are required to play an instrument the first week, please be prepared. If you need anything, please email Ms. Hardy immediately. Please note, your directors are mostly teaching remotely, we cannot necessarily provide something from school if you need it right away.

Finally: We will be communicating through CTLS once everyone is on and comfortable with the platform. Families are also expected to sign up for email updates on our orchestra website:

*All important information will be posted on the main page, no need to search. Many of our families have missed information, no need to cause extra stress during this crazy time.

Thursday 3-5pm- Grades 7 & 8 in Car Pool Lane, stay in your car and let us know what you need.

7th: You will begin the year reviewing Essential Elements Book 1 in additional to materials we will post on CTLS. If you do not have this book or left it at school, please come by at the above time to retrieve a book, get an instrument finger taped or tuned, or sign out a cello/bass (see previous posts about this!!!)

8th: You will need Essential Elements Book 2 (purple on the cover). We have books at school for you to borrow, come by and get one during above day/time. You are welcome to order your own or get one from the music store as well. We will also use material we post on CTLS.

We need all orchestra students ready to play for their first days in orchestra. We only have 16 classes together this quarter and have lots of music making to do. We are so excited to get playing again!! Please be ready to go, we are doing what we can to assist in any way. Please note, if you cannot make tomorrow, please contact a director asap if you need something, don't wait until next week! Tell your orchestra buddies to check the website too for all of this info.

For any and ALL orchestra kids: tuning, finger taping, orchestra book pick-up. We are available! Please carefully read the info below. If you are signing out a school cello or bass, you MUST have completed THIS FORM.

*No one exits a vehicle or enters a building. If a family cannot make this time, they email a director individually to obtain instrument in a similar fashion at a convenient time for them before Monday. Both directors are at the instrument pick-up, working as quickly and efficiently as possible.
