We hope everyone had a relaxing break, only 33 days of school until summer! That being said, let's give it our best in this final push to the end of the year (especially 8th graders!).
Testing: Testing begins this week. The testing schedule is completely new this year and everyone will need to be patient it.
8th Grade Trip: Only two weeks away! This week we will have our trip presentation during class. Parent chaperones will be sent a link and the presentation will also be posted on this site for parents to view. My apologies for the delay, we are working with a new music festival and it has taken a bit to finalize our itinerary.
Spring Concerts: Please be sure you have our spring concert performances in your family calendar (see Google calendar on side of site).
Drop Forms: Now available! If your child not longer wishes to participate in orchestra next year (rising 6th and 7th only), they must have a parent signed drop form turned in by May 4th. This is the ONLY way you can be removed from orchestra. Some students have been given a form as they are not passing orchestra or meeting the class expectations. Each year the expectations and music difficulty goes up, students are expected to practice at home. Feel free to contact a director if you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy.
Summer Music Plans: If you haven't made plans for your summer musical experience, now is the time! Ask a director for the list of private teachers or check our tab regarding summer music camps. Don't lose all those skills you've honed over the school year.
